Setup guide

Set up Smart IPTV on your Samsung or LG Smart TV

Smart IPTV (also searched for as “SIPTV” or “Smart IPTV Samsung”) is one of the apps used to watch IPTV directly on Samsung and LG Smart TVs, without an extra box. This guide shows you, step by step, how to install it and load your Stream TV playlist.

Step 1 — Install Smart IPTV on your TV

On a Samsung Smart TV, open the app store (APPS), search for “Smart IPTV” and install it. If it does not appear in the results, look in the additional or “suspended” apps category, where it is often listed. The process is the same on an LG Smart TV (webOS), through LG Content Store.

After installation, the app shows your TV’s MAC address at startup: make a note of it, as you will need it to load the channel list. Smart IPTV is not available on Android TV, Fire Stick, Apple TV or smartphones: for these devices, see the device guide to choose TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro.

Step 2 — Get your M3U playlist

Smart IPTV is a player: it contains no channels and needs to be connected to an M3U playlist. After your 24-hour trial or order, an adviser sends you your subscription login details:

  • Your M3U playlist URL, if you use the playlist method (recommended on Smart TVs);
  • Or your login details : portal address, username and password, if you prefer an Xtream Codes player.

Keep these details handy: they work with all compatible players and only need to be entered once per device.

Step 3 — Load the playlist on your TV

The easiest method is to open the app’s management page on a computer or phone: enter your TV’s MAC address and the M3U playlist URL, then confirm. After a few moments, the channel list is linked to your TV.

Then relaunch the app on your TV: the channels load and your groups, films and series appear in the interface. Remember to restart the app whenever you change the playlist — this is the step people most often forget.

If you are unsure which URL to use, message your adviser on WhatsApp: they will confirm the details and check your connection within a few minutes.

Step 4 — Adjust the app for everyday use

A few settings make viewing more enjoyable from the very first evening:

  • Favourites — add your everyday channels to find them without browsing through every group.
  • Groups — hide categories you do not use so that only the essentials appear.
  • Guide caching — let the app load the programme guide (EPG) at startup so programme listings appear instantly.
  • Buffer — if your connection fluctuates slightly, increase the buffer a little in settings.

Troubleshooting: common problems

  • No channels after installation — the MAC address entered when loading the playlist does not match the one shown by the app: check it and reload the playlist.
  • Link rejected or playlist not updating — copy the URL exactly, without leading or trailing spaces, and restart the app after every change.
  • Channels listed but playback will not start — the problem is with the internet connection or IPTV service, not the app: first test on another device to identify the cause.
  • App not found in the store — look in the additional (“suspended”) apps category; otherwise, your adviser can suggest an equivalent player available on your TV.

If nothing works, message your adviser on WhatsApp: they will check your connection remotely and work through the setup with you, step by step.

Smart IPTV and the rest of your setup

Your subscription is not tied to Smart IPTV: it works with any M3U- or portal-compatible player. Many customers use Smart IPTV on the living room Smart TV and another app on the bedroom Fire Stick, with the same subscription. The device guide explains setup screen by screen.

No VPN is needed: the private servers provide direct, stable access without any additional technical setup.

No subscription yet? Try it first

The easiest way to start is with a free 24-hour trial: an adviser sends you your playlist, you load it into Smart IPTV and assess stability and quality on your own connection before committing.

Smart IPTV FAQs

Is the Smart IPTV app free?

The app is installed from your TV’s app store. Its publisher (Smart IPTV / SIPTV) may charge a one-off activation fee, separate from your IPTV subscription: this is a payment directly between you and the app publisher. Your Stream TV subscription is billed separately, and an adviser will tell you before you order if a free alternative would be better for your TV.

Which TVs support Smart IPTV?

The app is designed for Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs and can be found in the TV’s app store. It is not available for Android TV or Fire Stick: TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro are used on those devices instead.

What do I need to load my playlist?

You need your M3U playlist URL (or your subscription credentials, sent by your adviser after your order or 24-hour trial) and your TV’s MAC address, shown when the app starts. You only need to enter these details once.

Do I need a VPN with Smart IPTV?

No. No VPN is needed: the private servers provide direct, stable access. Simply install the app and load your playlist.

What should I do if my playlist will not load?

First check that the playlist URL has been copied exactly, without spaces, and that the MAC address you entered matches the one shown in the TV app. You also need to restart the app after changing the playlist. If the problem persists, message your adviser on WhatsApp: they will check your connection and help you reload the playlist.

Does my IPTV subscription only work with Smart IPTV?

No. Your credentials work with any M3U- or portal-compatible player: iBoproPlayer, TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, Smart TV apps, smartphones and tablets. Smart IPTV is simply one of the players available on Samsung and LG Smart TVs.
