Setup guide

Watch IPTV on your computer (Windows and Mac)

Your IPTV subscription is not limited to your TV: the same credentials work on a Windows or Mac computer, with your choice of player. This guide shows you, step by step, how to install IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC on PC and connect your Stream TV subscription in just a few minutes.

Step 1 — Choose your PC player

Two applications cover most viewing needs on a computer:

  • IPTV Smarters Pro for PC — the same full interface found on Android TV and Fire Stick: channels organised into categories, a programme guide and favourites. It is the most convenient choice for everyday use on both Windows and macOS. Learn more about the app in the IPTV Smarters Pro guide.
  • VLC media player — the free, versatile player. It does not offer a TV guide, but plays your subscription’s stream directly: handy for a quick test or checking whether a channel works.

Always download software from the publisher’s official website: VideoLAN for VLC, or the publisher’s site for IPTV Smarters Pro. An adviser can also send you the exact link on WhatsApp.

Step 2 — Get your subscription login details

As with any player, the PC app needs your three login details, sent by your adviser after your 24-hour trial or order:

  • Portal address (server URL);
  • Your username ;
  • Your password.

These credentials are the same as those for your TV: one subscription works across all your devices. Keep them handy before starting installation.

Step 3 — Set up IPTV Smarters Pro on PC

Install the app from the publisher’s website, then open it. On the login screen, accept the terms of use and choose portal login (Xtream Codes), then enter:

  • a name for your subscription, such as “Living room PC” — any name is fine, as it is just a label;
  • the portal address, username and password sent by your adviser.

The app connects to the server and loads the channels and programme guide. You will then see the familiar interface: categories (sport, films, series), favourites and full-screen playback.

If login fails, first double-check the details you entered — this is the most common cause. If in doubt, message your adviser on WhatsApp: they will check your connection within a few minutes.

Step 3 (alternative) — Play your stream with VLC

For a quick test without installing another app, VLC is all you need:

  • open VLC, then select Media → Open Network Stream ;
  • paste your subscription’s M3U stream address (provided by your adviser with your credentials) and confirm: the channel starts playing;
  • for the full list, open the M3U file via Media → Open File : VLC then displays your channels in its playlist.

VLC is useful for checking a channel or troubleshooting; for everyday viewing, IPTV Smarters Pro offers a more comfortable interface.

Step 4 — Recommended settings for smooth playback

  • Wired connection — connect your computer with an Ethernet cable if possible: it is more stable than Wi-Fi, especially for 4K.
  • Favourites — add your everyday channels to access them without browsing every category.
  • Full-screen window — switch to full screen (the F key in VLC) and enable “always on top” if you watch while working.
  • Refresh the list — if a channel is missing, relaunch the app: the list refreshes at startup.

PC, TV and mobile: one subscription everywhere

Your credentials are not tied to a single device: the same subscription works on your computer, Smart TV, Fire Stick and phone. Many customers watch sport on the living room TV and catch up on a film on their PC. The device guide explains setup screen by screen, and the TiviMate and iBoproPlayer guides cover TV players.

No VPN is needed: the private servers provide direct, stable access without any additional technical setup.

No subscription yet? Try it first

The easiest way to start is with a free 24-hour trial: an adviser sends you your login details, you enter them in IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC on your computer and assess stability and quality on your own connection before committing.

IPTV on PC FAQs

Can I watch IPTV on a computer?

Yes. Your subscription credentials work with any compatible player, including on PC: IPTV Smarters Pro is available for Windows and macOS, and VLC plays your subscription’s M3U stream directly. You can watch on your computer with the same subscription you use on your TV.

Should I choose VLC or IPTV Smarters Pro on PC?

IPTV Smarters Pro offers a full TV-guide-style interface with categories, favourites and playback resume: it is the most convenient choice for everyday use. VLC is simpler: it plays the stream without an advanced interface, making it useful for a quick test or troubleshooting.

What do I need to set up IPTV on PC?

You need your three subscription login details: the portal address, username and password, sent by your adviser after your order or 24-hour trial. They are the same details you use on your TV or Fire Stick.

Does IPTV on PC use much bandwidth?

A Full HD stream needs a stable connection of a few megabits; 4K requires more. Playback is smooth over a wired connection (Ethernet cable) or good Wi-Fi. If playback is interrupted, use a network cable rather than Wi-Fi and stop any downloads in progress.

Do I need a VPN to watch IPTV on PC?

No. No VPN is needed: the private servers provide direct, stable access. Install the player, enter your login details and start watching.
